Default 35 vs 37 gas mileage

Was wondering if anyone who had 35's and upgraded to 37's could give actual results. Obviously results will vary based on differences in equipment so maybe include your gear info as well. Also curious about changes in highway driveability. Thanks for the info.

When i went to 35s i upgraded my gears to 5.13s and bought a procal. My mileage actually went up to 18+ on the highway. Then i went to 37s and retuned and i was actually getting 19-20 on the highway. The trick is to stay under 65. If you go over the mileage drops to around 16. As for the drivabilty the 35s were mud grapplers and i loved them and the drivabilty was better than stock. But when i went to 37s i changed the coils in the front and didn't have the cash for the lca to correct the caster. So it was a little flighty but still drove great.

4door auto, 3.73 gears, 315 75 16 (35") Toyo MT, I was getting between 14 - 16 mpg mixed driving, 70-75 on the hwy.

Changed to 37 13.5 17 Toyos, same conditions, now getting between 12-14 mpg.

Stock I was getting between 18-20 mpg.

Seems with every increase in tire Size there was roughly 2 mpg lost.

I just upgraded to 5.13 gears so I will see if that helps with mpg's.

You gotta get your shift points back in order. You should be around 2300 rpms at 70mph. I highly recommend the procal! Nothing to install and the dealer pcm flash upgrades don't affect it. Pay close attn to page 5 throttle tolerance absolutely run this procedure it will match the pcm and the pedal. Much better throttle response

I run a Superchips. Shift points are corrected. Might be an elevation thing or we have way too much ethanol in our gas!

Yes my Toyos are much heavier and slightly taller than the BFG's.

I'm hoping to get woodweavil's numbers with the 5:13 gears. I'll post up after I break them in and go through a few tanks.
