Default Loss of power after wheeling?

Got back to camp Saturday evening, and was a little concerned that this minivan V6 felt a weaker than usual. Whaddaya know:
Why they put the tailpipe right where you can smash it between a rock and the frame rail is beyond me...

Gotta go find a grinder.

My muffler has a dent in it from rocks.. And the tail pipe is kind of mangled at the very end if it. She still runs fine though!

I hacked at it for half an hour with some wrenches and vicegrips, opened it up a bit, but it's well-squished. Muffler is still pretty-well undented.

HAHA,

Good job, alot better than I did first weekend I took mine out wheeling, I only crushed mine in halfway had to use a crowbar to fix it up.

I agree they really didnt do a very good job engineering the exhaust system for off road use, the cross pipe that goes in front of the center cross member is another example of this.

I never damaged the stock exhaust on my TJ in 5 years of wheeling but first time out in the JK I crushed in the tip, bent the muffler mount and bent some heat shielding causing a rattle. Oh well I figure if I ever do some damage that I cant fix with a crow bar I'll just go aftermarket from the cat back
