Longer sway bar links
When do you know that you need longer sway bar links?
Just had an OME lift it raised the rear 2.5 front 2.25.
I only added adjustable tracbars.Everything feels OK.The only thing I noticed is that
my ESP light came on while I exited the highway on a full turn.

Your swaybar itself should be +/- 5º from perpendicular with the ground (horizontal). So if you're within that you're good, if it's at a downward angle over ~5º then you'll most likely want new ones.
As far as the ESP kicking in, you need to make sure your steering wheel is as close to perfectly centered as possible otherwise the ESP will kick in and try to kill you. Used to happen to me a lot!

Either have the steering wheel centered by the dealer or alignment shop or buy an AEV procal for $149 and you can do it yourself. Neat little gadget that does lots of things including adjusting your speedometer for tire size and gears among other things.
I never took mine in for the steering wheel. I put my wheels straight and drove real slow down my dead end road with hands off wheel. My friend adjusted the wheel till it was centered. Did this a couple of times. May be off a hair but I cant tell or anything. Problem solved.

OK i just noticed that on a medium flex the sway bar link is very very close to the axle housing.
Now I would need links that will also work with stock wheels.
I was looking at the JKS adjustable, but not the quicker ones.
I already had my lift put on,I am a newb when it comes to this. But I would like to do this one myself,Is this going to be hard trying to determine the height of the links.
Do I need to drop the axle in order for me to do this?
Any other info is well appreciated.
Thanks

I asked the same question when i installed my lift and thankfully Planman gave me his insight. The stock front sway bar links are not long enough to keep the sway bar in it's proper position when flexing. The shorter links in the front will invert and jam the front linkage causing carnage. I found this out when I was installing the lift and it inverted when I flexed out the axle to install the boost. I put it together and got links right away.
Just have to remember that when you do one thing to the Jeep it changes something else.

Here are some pics of the front links,The drivers side is a lot closer to the coils than the passenger side. This is the one that worries me.
I had seen this on another persons post but I can not find it anymore. To see what the end results were.Takein mind that I do not wheel it much.
Are these ok?Sorry for so many pics just want to make sure everything is ok.
