Default 35's on Wrangler X sport

I currently am running 33x 10.50's on my wrangler X sport and I am wanting to go to 35x12.50's. I am not sure if this is too much mass for the stock axles and rears. Some input from you all would be very helpfull. I have not had any problems with the 33's and I do some moderate wheeling. My concern is putting too much stress on the stock setup before I can upgrade.

Hundreds of guys here are running 35's with no issues. Just look around and search the threads to see what mods we do to run them. And welcome to the forum.

Jeeps are designed to work properly & last a good while equipped with factory parts. This goes for tires too. The added weight, leverage & traction that 35 inch tires bring to the mix is HUGE!!!
Better study up on front axle sleeves, C gussets, lifts, spacers and or backspacing, and last but not least, lower gears, 4.88's at least.

I know guys will chime in that are running 35's with stock everything. You can do that as well.

2dr sport here. 2.5 coil lift with shocks. 3.73 gears. Aussie locker up front. 16x9.5 wheels with 315/75/16 bfg km2s. Wheel the hell out of it on rocks for past year and a half. Not a single issue besides tear up steering stabilizer on rocks all the time, now run with out one. Also did bend my from tie rod, put a rock krawler front tie rod with moog 1 ton tie rod ends and that thong is a beast. It will not bend. Lol.

Used 30's are a dime a dozen. Wheel it til it breaks, then pick up a replacement and wheel it til you get around to the upgrade.

Thanks for the replies. It is alot broader spectrum of opinions than I thought I would hear. I eventually want to build up the rears but not sure what I want to do with them yet.

I just put on a 4'' pro comp lift and mtz 35x12.50 tires and nothing else no regearing. I've got an auto. I haven't had any problems. I also added an auxiliary transmission oil cooler i bought at advanced auto for 60 bucks and took 10 minutes to install thanks to these forums which made a night and day difference.
i turn off overdrive below 60 miles an hour and doing above that untill 75 i can keep rpms around 1700 on flats. Oh yeah my jeep is an 08 x right hand drive.

I run 35 Trail Grapplers and do have EVO C gussets up front. Stock 4:10 gears and no issues. Although I am getting ready to do some axle mods.

07 2 door x here, 3.21's at that, both open axles, yes 30 in front 44 rear...I run 35'' KM2's (12.5" wide) with 4.5" backspacing with nothing but a daystar 1 3/4" biscuit lift and cut flares. I do what I'd consider moderate wheeling and rock crawling and so far so good.

Of course theres better ways to do it, all of which cost more money I'm sure. I personally have a hard time re-gearing a D30 for whats its worth, but as mentioned above theyre cheap anyhow. As long as you dont beat the piss out of it you'll be fine.
