Default What's with my JKS quick disconnects making a clunking noise....again.

I put on the JKS Quick Discos last month and all was fine till I got offroad. This is withoiut disconnecting them, the one on the right started clunking. I got on the bumper and rocked the front end and the right JKS would clunk, clunk, clunk every bounce. The drivers side was not makiong noise at all. When I got ome, I got under and untightened the shaft and tried to line up the bushing holders a little better, as the were not in the same plane. The noise went away, but now I'm getting a noise again by just driving locally. What am I doing wrong here. It seems that this should not be so difficult to align....and keep aligned. I must be missing something.

They should make zero noise. I would check and make sure everything is tight.

I have a set on my 2004 and the bushings have never gone out. When you assemble them make sure you put red loctite on them.

X2

The only time mine have made noise is when they loosened up. Why? Because I neglected to follow that step in the install instructions telling me to use a threadlocker.

Just got back from a trip to Colorado and Wyoming. I got noise like this about halfway through the trip (after Ouray). Switched them around and the noise has lessened. Gonna try the retightening ideas.
