Default Flat Black or Satin Hood accent.

I really like the Blacked out Hood Appliqué/Decal that is on the Islander & Mountain edition JK's. Preferably I'd like it painted on instead of applying the Decal from Pixeldecals.com. After asking around I'm being told that painting it on can't be done.....Seems that after applying the dull/flat paint they need to add a Clear Coat and that will make the painted surface Glossy. Is this true..? I really don't like decals, especially on the hood with all that Heat. Any Painting Pro's out there that can help me out. I was also told if they don't use Clear Coat the new Paint will eventually Peel. HELP....!

They make clears with a matte finish.
