Need some advice...I just noticed that my front tires are wearing in an odd way. I have 32" mud terrain tires with no suspension modifications. If I move my hand across the lugs of the rear tires they are evenly wearing and are flat across all lugs. On the front tires, if I move my hand across the lugs it feels bumpy and you can see how the lugs are different heights. Both front tires have similar wear patterns. Any ideas?

 

I would think you need a front end alignment.

 

so my problem might be a toe-in condition?

 

If they are wear more on the inside or outside treadlines then it is a toe problem. if they are wear more in the middle it is a air pressure problem. I would start with the obvious and check the pressure all the way around and go from there.

 

I agree. It could be an alignment issue but it may be bad shocks or maybe you just need to rotate the tires more often. How many miles do you rotate them? Since you say it's only the front, that would make you assume that this developed since your last rotation.

Would shocks be covered in the vehicles warranty?

SORRY to HIJACK this thread but I'm getting this sound(like a stone caught in the thread) coming maybe from the front or underneath.,,, maybe a little more tingy sounding then a stone.. I checked no stones.
Does uneven tread wear make that sound or an unbalanced tire? I recently had my gears done and went back to change out the fluid and had my tires rotated. I've done the tire CHALK test seems ok tire pressure at 32.
I'm paranoid something's going to bust, blow up .... like the transfer case horror stories i read out here or something else.
