sway bar problem after lift
OK yesterday I installed the basic RC 2.5 spacer lift on my 08 Rubi. I unfortunately lowered the front after after I reconnected the factory sway bar. Now my sway bars are pulled down real low and binding. One of the bushings even popped out. Can I jack the sway bar back in to place or is that going to kill the Rubi disconnect mechanism if I haven't already? any help please before the wife finds out I screwed up!
You need longer sway bar links for the front with a lift. Usually most kits have you move your oem rear links to the front and the kit comes with new rear links. If not you need to order longer links for the front.
A photo or 3 might help everyone visualize what you're describing a bit better.
1st guess would be that your factory end links are now 2.5" too short.
Edit: ^^Yeah...what he said ^^

Pull the links off until you get longer replacements. You'll have a bit more body roll, but it won't hurt anything to drive without the links for a few days.
Ouch. Jack it up so the swaybar un-binds. You can drive it with the short links, but any flexing is likely to do the same thing, and if you are driving and flexing, expect some damage.
So, pull the links off until you get longer replacements.

Did you change the links or are they the original? They look original and if so are just to short. Just pull them off and order some longer ones. You will be okay to drive with no links until you get the other ones. You will get some body roll so just take it easy around turns and such.

Jack it up, unbolt them, then steal the links from the rear. Zip tie up your rear swaybar to the frame until new links come in. It drives just fine. I did it for a week.
I'll get some crap for saying this but labeling this as a kit and not notifying customers of additional parts they need is misleading. People wonder why its cheaper. Its because it's incomplete. You will also need lower bump stops in the rear. I over compressed when I had this and my coil slipped out.
