Default When buying tires?

So I see alot of tire threads but yet I have not see one that say when buying tires(not that I looked around) but when buying our bigger tires do you guys get insurance on them im getting 35 soon its costing me an extra 25$ per tire I dont mind paying that to feel secure that I dont need to pay a couple more hundred dollars if something happens to a tire. So my question is do you guys get insurance or what have you when buying tires or just dont car when leaving the tire shop.

I've never bought insurance. The company still can refuse coverage if the damage is excessive. From what I understand they will only cover manufacturing defects (ie imbalance in the tire).

There are several threads on this floating around. The general consensus is that the replacement certificates are worth the price. Just base it on your planned driving.

The tires will come with a mfg's warranty against defects. What you are paying for is a 'Road Hazard' warranty that covers nails and rocks and tree branches and potholes and ...

I've always purchased the certificates and they pay for themselves. I've ruined several BF AT wheeling hard and even just picking up a nail on the road. I ran over a nail in a parking lot where the head didn't look big and it was in the tread, when I got it in a couple of days later for repair, it wasn't a nail but a piece of bar that entered sideways and damaged the inside sidewall. certificate replaced it N/C, as expensive as the bigger tires are, it's cheap insurance.

See now that makes sense. I must have had the worst tire salesman in the building! Lol

Let's just hope I don't shred my tires anytime soon....

On a sidenote does anyone know how long the magic money genie lives in ones ass, cuz I've been pulling that little fella out alot lately.

I normally would not but at $350 a tire seems worth it. Would actually read the terms.
