Brake Sqeeking Issue
For the last couple weeks when I start up and drive the car I can hear a sqeeking coming from what sounds like the back left portion of the car. I have a feeling it has to do with the parking brake because of the sound it makes. I'm thinking the parking brake might not be releasing all the way.
Could this be due to extra tension on the parking brake line from the 3" lift?
The problem goes away after about 2 miles but last weekend it lasted for about 10 miles...
Is there a way to check where its coming from? Does anyone have a pic of where the parking break line is located? Thanks for the help!

You're describing what I had back in March. I had a squeak every time I started up and it then went away. Taking it in for service they had a look and it was the parking brake seizing up. Said it had corroded badly and had to be replaced. Not what I wanted to hear, but had to be fixed.
The other indicator I had was my mileage started dropping pretty significantly. I typically run around 14.5 l/100km (16mpg) With the brake sticking I was up around 19.5 l/100km (12mpg).
When I asked about fixing it they said it was a bit of pain to get at as it was buried. I'm not a mechanic :-) I trust the dealership I go to as they have helped me out on several occasions and are good to work with.
I'm running a stock 2008 Rubicon Unlimited.
Hope that helps.
Cheers,
