Default U-Joint upgrade help.

About to put a locker in my dana 30. Don't have the money right now to upgrade shafts. I want to upgrade u-joints on my axle shafts while I have them out. Any suggestions on a good strong u joint that isn't crazy expensive. Please don't post telling me I just need to upgrade shafts it's not an option right now. Any help would be great.

Leave the u-joint as the weakest link and carry a spare and tools on the trail. Better to break u-joint instead of axle or gears.

There was a good thread yesterday that points at the ears on the stock axleshafts as being weak and causing the ujoint failures - not the ujoints themselves. Leave them alone and upgrade the shafts when you can.

It's in this thread:

Dynatrac, Mark Doiron and Renpia are discussing it on page 3.
