Default Bestop Trektop put on...have a couple of questions.

Just put on the original Bestop Trektop on my 07 JK Unlimited. I was wondering how the little flaps with the button snaps are supposed to be used. I'm referring to the ones that are on the flaps that velcro the top to the top frames. I couldn't figure it out.

Also, the instructions didn't go over how to roll back the top and keep it secured. Anyone with photos of the top rolled back and secured or a write up?

Thanks!

The botton snaps are used when you roll the top back to secure it to the door surrounds. They are also nice to use as pull tabs when undoing the velcro.

I also learned that when you have the top rolled back and you want to unroll it you still have to undo the whole top and start with the front to put back on. So unstead of rolling it back just keep rolling and take the whole thing off. Flip the side windows in as you roll it back and leave the back tailgate hooked and it rolls up nice. Then just tuck the sides in and it stays put.

Great suggestion. I'll give that a try next time. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how quick and easy it is to go topless vs. the OEM top. That thing was HEAVY!

As long as its sunny and warm you can take off/put on the top pretty fast and easy. If its to cold she gets really tight and latching down the back can turn into a real struggle.
