Default Smitybilt xrc slider noise ????

Just installed my xrc sliders and noticed a squeaking crunch like noise coming from the passenger side everytime I hit a pot hole , bump or dip. Anyone experience this. And what's the solution?????
Thanks for the help

Yes I had the same problem. Drove me crazy!!! I tried a bunch different things. The older sliders went completely around the body mount the new ones are half moon shaped. Greasing it will only fix the problem short term. I had to take off the the step and grind down the washer on the body mount. It worked love the steps outside of that.

Mine have the half moon shape cut around the body mount. Can you post a pic of what you cut?

Did you put a bolt in the rearmost hole of the sliders? mine only came with bolts for the front two holes so that is what I installed. It was making the same noise you describe and it was driving me crazy. Finally re-used a bolt from the Sahara side steps I had and it fixed the problem. Also, check the rear corner of the slider. Sometimes it can touch (I think it was the shock mount) so I trimmed about a 1/2" from the corner to alleviate rubbing.

Mine work great, but squeak and rattle like crazy. It's where mine make contact with the body down low right above pinch seam. Bothered the shit out of me for awhile, don't even notice it anymore. The more I go offroad the more squeaks I get.

That's where I think my noise is coming from too. Drives me nuts!

Just use a Dremel and trim off that corner. Problem solved.

It's the rear inside corner of the slider. Mine was rubbing on the rear upper control arm bolt (just went and looked). I trimmed off about 1/2" and problem solved.
