Default (dumb) different kind of 35" question

My 2012 arrives this week by rail. I have Pintlers and 35" km2s ready to mount + an AEV 3.5" premium kit coming via UPS. The Discount Tire shop is literally accross the street from the Jeep dealer. The lift kit installer is five miles away from Discount Tire. Logistically, it's easier to: pickup Jeep --> get tires mounted --> drive to kit installer. With no lift, but proper offset wheels, can the Jeep even be driven on city streets, and make turns, without a problem? Or...should I get it lifted and then bring it back to Discount Tire?

Go ahead and mount tires first...it may rub a little on tight turns but will be fine for the short trip to the shop

Who is doing the alignment after the lift is installed? If the discount tire location is doing it, do lift then tires, otherwise, you can roll on 35's to the lift shop.

That's a good point. The alignment is being done at the lift shop. DT does not do alignments.

There are several dealers w/ 2012s...they've been shipping them for a little while. My local dealer says 5 or 6 are coming next week
