High lift jack size

Default High lift jack size

Wanting to get a high lift jack and install it on my hood what size do I need not to hang out the side 2 much . I saw 36,40,42 and 60 inch sizes .

60 is way overkill for your hood and, more than you need unless you're really tall and running really big tires. 40-48 is pretty much standard

Ohhh sorry lift on jeep this week will be 3.5 R.C and 35's

60 is more for guys running 6" of lift and 40's.

for whatever it's worth, i almost never use a hi-lift for anything and find that a good 12 ton bottle jack to be way more effective in just about every application. but, that's just me.

Okay I know I am going to get so much crap for saying this but here goes I mainly want it for the look they are so bad ass on the hood I have also ordered my winch and will be here this week so probably will never use this jack.

all the more reason why you should get something in the 40" range. 60 is about the width of your jeep and it will look silly

I have the Piaa lights on the Piaa windshield mounts will the jack get in the way of the lights .

Jack shouldn't get in the way, I have a 42" jack mounted on my hood with 3 rectangle KC's in front of it and two KC's mounted by the windshield. Interference not a problem.

How do you use the bottle jack with such a small contact space to the axle? That would make me nervous.
