Default cheapest way to go / lift to clear 35" tires on 4.75 backspace wheels

selling my used set of tires and wheels, buyer needs me to add a budget lift for wheel clearance only, on road at this point.

i am thinking 2.5 in is what is needed minimum, any higher and i think the road handling will go south without adding allot of other items.

must be under $400 total with shocks

it is a unlimited X

Default 2.5" rc bb

I put a Rough Country 2.5" budget boost on mine, complete with shock extensions, longer rear sway bar links, brake line drop brackets, and track bar relocation bracket, all shipped for under $200. Super simple to install with floor jack and simple hand tools, and easily clears my 35x12.5's on 16x8 with 5" bs.

did you use the RC 2.2 shocks?

people claim they ride stiff?

I have OME lt but they would not fit her budget.

on road ride is most important, I forgot about the stearing dampner it is a must replace.

I have the dual steering stabilizers and I actually like those. As for on road the 2.2s do so so, but off road is a joke. Im actually replacing mine hopefully this week. Only had on now for I think about 2.5 months

Your tires look like Duratraks? I didn't know they came in a 35" tire with the 16" rim option. The tallest I saw was the 34" height so I sent my friend in another direction. Dang!

2.25" BB with everything else stock is the cheapest (but not best) way to clear a 35" tire. Your backspacing on the rims will rub your frame on full lock with your steering however, but they will stuff under your stock flares.

Nah, they fit fine....full stuff. No rubbing, even with 5" of backspacing. They are a 315/75R16, which at 28psi (where i usually run) is about 34.5". With a lot of weight in the back (read fat-asses!) I would rub slightly on the fender, so I ended up chopping them.

And no RC shocks....running shock extensions....this is truly my budget build!

not much differance in price between a RC 2.5 kit springs and shock vrs 2.5 spacer kit and shocks.

will changing the springs eliminate the need for taller bump stops

I chopped my flares, and run 1 3/4 inch daystar spacers with 35's...flexes pretty good for the money
