Default Transplanting TPMS

Are we able to reuse the OE tire pressure sensors in any aftermarket wheel or are the sensors wheel specific?

I am replacing my OEM pizza cutters and would like to transfer the sensors to the new wheels...

Discount Tire said they would swap my sensors from my old wheels to the new aftermarket wheels but I had to pay for a "tpms rebuild kit"

hmmm... so maybe there are seals that are not reusable? Any idea how much the rebuild kit is?

I don't think there is any way to extinguish the idiot light on the dash if new wheels don't have the sensors.. My 2008 would ding at start up and then again after half an hour of driving.

I had my TPMS transferred to my new rims. All they needed were some new "adapters" or something (maybe the seals) to mount the tpms to the new rims. No problems so far!

EDIT: Cost like 20 bucks for the adapters/seals/rebuild kit.

Why not just get rid of them? I did. No problems!

Shouldn't a flashpaq or procal fix that issue?

I put the sensors in a 3" pipe welded it up and installed a valve added 3o pounds of air put it under the seat and no more light!
