Fiberglass? For your bumper?

Ok...if you like the look, go ahead and buy it. Just don't expect fiberglass to outperform your stock plastic bumper if you actually encounter an obstacle.

It does appear to have a slightly bettter approach angle than the stock bumper, so that could be helpful.

I could understand someone buying a winchversion, not everyone is crawling rocks and dropping their front end on a boudler but there are a lot of uses for a winch. However I don't see a point in the non-winch variety, unless you are thinking to color match it for asthetics. Everything I have heard about them however is that they are suprisingly strong, but I think 400+ shipped is a bit pricey for what you get.

That would get destroyed from the BMW's that constantly back into my Jeep while trying to parallel park let alone an off-road obstacle.

I don't see fiberglass taking a beating. If you want to save weight, go aluminum.

Horrible idea. Personally I use my front bumper as a place to sit alot. Sit on that fiberglass bumper once and it is toast.

Fiberglass? You bump into something and that thing is gonna shatter.
