Default ESP/BAS dash light on after wheeling.

I took my JK out on some pretty rough trails this past month. The first time, my ESP/BAS dash light came on and ESP stayed on even after going back into 2WD. I can turn the ESP off and the indicator turns off, but an ESP/BAS light stays on. A warning indicator I presume. The problem went away. 2 weeks later, same rough trails, same problem now. Can anyone tell me what I might have broken? I know an alignment is needed but I have a gut feeling it's more than that.

Check your abs sensor on the front left and right tire. My tire chewed through mine $15.00 for a new one and takes about 10 min to replace

Mine does it every time I go out and hit even just a little mud puddle. I think its just dirt getting into the sensors. The first time i stopped and sprayed them out and it went away right away. Now i just dont worry about it and turn the control off inside that way I dont loose power. Ive been thinking of doing the kill all switch for all those lights that way when they kick in i can just turn them off until I clean it.

My abs light also comes on with them

Mine came on also, it was a combination of wheel alignment and the steering wheel not being centered. The vehicle thinks you are in a skid because the steering wheel is not centered. I need to order the service manual so lI don't have to take it to the dealer and have it reset all the times. It doesn't sound hard to reset. Just a bunch of turns of the wheel after the steering wheel has been recentered.

Yep. You need to recenter the steering wheel if the ESP/ABS goes off after wheeling. Very easy to do yourself or with a friend. Here's a write up. http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-write-...-end-alignment

And after you center the wheel, it will take a few driving cycles to reset, so don't worry when the lights don't go off right away.

This happened to me and it was my left rear abs sensor, my left front speed sensor went out at the same time causing my cruise control to stop working.

My cruise control has been intermittent since I installed the lift. How would I diagnose a specific speed sensor?
