wondering what the actual rim width is on steel wheel (16 )on 2011
im concidering putting toyo mt 33x 11.50 x 16 on my steel wheels on my sport jk any pics ????? and of course id put spidertrac 1.5 spacers on it id imagine they dont make a 33x 12.50 x 33 for a 16 inch wheel im hoping the one inch loss wont make the jk loose that wide stance ! if anyone has this mod please post a pic from rear so i can see the wide stance ! again 33x 11.5 x 16 on stock steel these tire seem very high priced and not easy to find any sugestions on where to buy on line that would have free shipping or any deals ?

the factory 16" steel wheels are only 7" wide. all the others are 7.5". you can do it and it will actually hold your bead pretty well on the trail when aired down but, the side walls will bulge quite a bit and your footprint will be off unless you run a lower psi. if it were me, i would do it.

The problem with running a tire on a narrower than recommended wheel is that it can make the tread crown slightly. This can cause the center portion of the tread to wear slightly faster than normal, similar to running too much air pressure. This being said, I've seen countless truck owners run 285/75-16's and 285/70-17's (33x11.50) on OEM 7 and 7.5 inch wide OEM wheels for years with no problems at all.
