Default Do this again, Goodyear MTR/K's or BFG KM2's

I'll be installing a 3" lift on my 2008 JK soon. Like many people in the past, I'm having a hard time with the decision of tires. I've read through several old post and it looks like there is a close tie between the Goodyear MT/R w/ Kevlar and the BFG KM2.

A few things about my Jeep:
1) It will be a daily driver (25 minutes one way on flat highway, Monday through Friday)
2) I'm looking for the tire which wears better.
3) I'm looking for the tire which does better on wet pavement.
4) It will be a 35x12.5x17 on a Pro Comp 7033.
5) This jeep will see no snow or rocks. Very limited off road which may be trails or light mud.

My third place tire was the Nitto Trail Grappler, but I've read its pretty heavy compared to the GY and BFG.

Thanks for any help or pictures.

I would do the grapplers even though they are heavier. Km2's run small and mtr's have balancing issues. Grapplers run truer to size and balance like a dream

Shocked I even got two votes for the Nitto's. From what I see, they seem to be 8 to 10 lbs heavier which isn't as bad as I thought.

Whats the deal with the Mickey Thompson MTZ's. Absolutely no one here runs these on their rigs.

I seriously doubt I'm getting MTRK's again they need a ton of weight to balance and had to have them rebalanced twice since the weights fell off after one winter, and they wear like crap. I got about 20K outta mine and there is less than 50% left. Are they amazing off road YES do they look good YES, but do they last long imo no. They seemed to wear down faster after the initial breakdown...maybe the tire compound softened up quicker or something...who knows. But Im shopping for 37's right now and am having a hard time choosing them again but that lite weight issue keeps them in the game.

voted Nittos btw.

I am one of the one's that picked the Nittro's. You could not give me a set of Goodyear MT/R w/ Kevlar. They like my GoodYear SilentArmor 255/75/R17 tire's have way to many Blancing issue's to waste my Hard Earned MONEY on. And since my SilentArmor are Heavy also I might try Nittro's.

I can't see buying anything other than MTRs in the near future, I have had zero issues with mine. And I do drive mine on the highway, like my vacation to Reno, and I'm on the rocks on weekends. 20k miles is good wear to me, after all, it's jeep, not a Lexus.
