Default 33 " x 12.5" duratrac with alloy mb72 on stock carrier

I searched and read threads about reinforcing or replacing tire carrier. Does anyone hace this tire and rim on stock carrier? Seems to weigh 70 lbs total which I think should be ok since stock rubicon tire and rim is similar. Most say it eventually needs after market carrier. True?

Start with the recommendation in your owners manual...

NOTE: If you have added aftermarket accessories to the
spare tire mounted carrier, it cannot exceed a gross
weight of 50 lbs (23 kg) including the weight of the spare
tire.

You'll be fine. I have had a 33 inch 10.5 BFG on the MB72 for over a year through some crazy trails and haven't noticed one problem. If you're worried, they sell some stock reinforcment hardware for the stock carrier.

I weighed the rubicon take off rim with 32 in BF Goodrich tire and it was 71lb. The stock steelie 16 in with 225 Wrangler tire was 53 lb. The new Duratrac 33x12.5 with MB72 alloy rim was 65 lb. I think I am ok but may add the Off Camber reinforcement and definitely the Daystar rubber bumps.

I did the Daystar bumps too. Not sure if they really help, but they weren't that much, so what the hell.
