Default custom vs. Coast/JE Reel/TF etc. driveshaft?

Well, it looks like I will be replacing my front driveshaft as the oem has started to spit just a little grease. I called a local rack and axle shop and they quoted me around $375 for the driveshaft and $65 for the install. Sounds like a pretty good price to me. My question is would this be preferred to the above mentioned manufactures since they would actually measure my specific dimensions and make the shaft custom to my Jeep? I have read about a few people doing this, but wondered what the general consensus was here. Thanks!

That's about what you'd pay for a shaft alone without install. Just make sure that's the price for a double carden shaft with new yokes for pinion and t case. A big plus to this is that they warranty the install and shaft, if you take off down the road and get vibes cause of a bad balance, or have yokes get loose, they'll have to honor it and they are local so it's alot easier to get probs resolved

This was sort of my thought process. I read the write up on the install and it doesn't seem to be too horrible, but since this replacement is for 1. starting to spit a little grease and I know that it is only a matter of time till it blows and 2. I have had a vibration since I lifted the jeep over a year ago and have tried numerous other fixes. Hopefully, a fresh set of eyes on this will help!

Thanks David, I did confirm that these were included. I just feel that going the custom route may be a better option this time. It'll save you a few calls from me asking stupid questions!

Thanks for the feedback!
