but don't want to render the compass unit useless. Read in a post on here that one spot that *should* work is right in front of the shifter in the center console. Not sure if true.

Anyone moved theirs? Would really like to be able to keep my phone up on a dash shelf. I use it for GPS.

 

I have the daystar upper dash and the compass mounts under it like the stock one. I put my phone up there at times but I usually keep it outa the sun to avoid over heating it and have it in a cup holder.

But I do know for sure the phone does goof up the compass, but I usually keep my phone away from it so it doesn't bug me too much.
