Default Oily film on my jeep, can't get it off help

Went off roading the other day and there is this oily film in certain spots on my hood, doors and windows. I've washed it 3 times with two different kinds of mild soaps and one auto safe de-greaser. IT just wont come off! I have no idea what will take it off. Help would be appreciated!

I was planning on doing a full detail on it, but I thought it would just smug the oil around. I will clay bar it, and polish it and see how it comes out. Hopefully this crap comes off. But thanks guys.

If it's oil based, Dawn dish washing liquid should get it off. But, Dawn will also romove any wax you've applied also.

Try simple green engine cleaner. DO NOT use it straight out if the bottle!!!!! Mix it 50/50 with water and give your jeep a hand wash. Then powerwash. That should do the trick. Simple green can be found at any truckstop, autozone, and possibly walmart.

I detailed the whole thing yesterday. Clay bar, swirl/haze remover, polish and wax. Looks better than the day I got it.

Excellent!!! That clay bar makes the paint feel smooth also. It pulls all imbedded dirt out!
U can use spray wax as a lube when using the clay bar. Glass cleaner works too, but u need to wax after that.

U can also just do it when u wash the truck!! Clay bars are great!

Next time try WD-40. You won't have to rub so hard and long. Spray it directly on and leave it for a few minutes. It will then wipe off. I find this stuff excellent in cleaning and or removing anything. Works great as a degreaser for your hands too.
