While riding my motorcycle today I was thinking about the Jeep and it's front axle. I have an 07 Sahara with the D30 front and was thinking of costs to do a D44 in the front. I don't want to spend upwards of $2000 on an empty housing from Dynatrac, And also don't want to spend upwards of $2000 for a Rubicon D44 and have to go in and re-gear on top of that. Then a thought popped in my head... What if I got a D44 from a Wagoneer and geared that to match my rear, add a locker, and get a wheel adapter for the rear and run new rims at 5 on 5.5. I haven't completely done the math to see what would actually cost more... BUT what my only concerns are has to do with that stupid ABS/ESP sensor.
So these are my main 2 questions....
Has anyone actually DONE this? Or even thought about it?
And 2: If it's done, how will the breaks react to the non sensored axle? Can I disable the whole system without having to replace the master cylinder and perportioning valve to a non ABS model?
I'm not worried about not having ABS, and actually would rather not have it to tell you the truth. And I already disabled the ESP since it was going off when I was driving a stock vehicle going around corners UNDER the speed limit. And I'm not concerned about the suspension setup because I am a fabricator and can make just about anything fit/work that I want to.
Anyway... Sorry for the long breath and thanks in advance for any thoughts and advice.

Haven't seen anyone using that particular housing, but should be as easy as any of the junkyard 60's people are going with. You should be able to find plenty of build threads down in the Fabrication & Builders area.
In addition to the tone rings/electronics/etc, you should also check the width. No idea how big a wagoneer is, but JK axles are about 6" wider than previous wranglers, so that could be an issue.
