Default 2012 Rubicon lift AEV or Rock Krawler 2.5 Pro??

My 2012 Rubicon is at the dealer and I need to decide on the lift. I have narrowed it down to the 3.5 AEV Dual Sport or the Rock Krawler
JK 2.5 MAX TRAVEL PRO MID ARM SYSTEM. It will be used as a daily driver and primarily for hunting camping. That said I have not be "wheeling" but have done motorsports all my life for recreation and vocation, so likely to really enjoy it. Costs end up being about the same so it's truly down to what is the best setup... I like what Rock Krawler provides in it's kit and with the Bilsteins and progressive front springs the ride should be pretty nice. The AEV has such close ties to the factory it's probably the best ride but I am not as sure about the "wheeling" capabilities as compared to Rock Krawler.

I really appreciate your input as this will be ordered Monday!!

Go with the 3.5" midarm just for future consideration of perhaps of going bigger. Same system except bigger springs. All of the control arms are solid steel and it comes with brake line extensions. Think they are still running the deal whErE it also comes with the extended bump stops.

I was thinking exactly the same thing about the 2.5 creating less issues. Also my wife will be driving it often and the additional height is not a plus. I am thinking the RK could take more of a beating. Does anyone know how it rides in compared to stock, we just test drove it today.

I thought i read somewhere about some frame changes to fit the pentastar. It might be something to look into.

Exactly, I am running the 3.5" with a 6 speed with no drive shaft issues. We all are wanting to go bigger and I am running 37's now with this kit and flat flares. I add a 1" bl and I can go to 40's. Now the wife issue is a horse of a different color. Happy wife is happy life!

In speaking with Jeremy at RK, the released new joints in June that are sealed and he states are now the best on the market. Now I know every company wants to state the have the best on the market, but I sense he is truthful and we will see over time.
