Diff Covers - What do you have and do you wish you had something different?
I'm re-gearing and figure I'll change diff covers while they are off - so many to choose from. what do you have and have they taken a rock beating?
Thanks
Thanks
If you want to pay a lot for a name get the ARB's. If you want something indestructible get Ruff Stuff diff covers. 3/8" CNC bent double TIG welded goodness. 1" filler hole so no pump required. Killer stuff. By killer I mean that rocks fear contact with these!
I read about some hanging low, lip to get hung up on? How do these fit?
I've got the Mopar Standard Non-Performance covers and I have to say- they seem to hold up really well to the constant punishment of air and water that they see daily. Unfortunately they have a tendency of flaking and getting a gross finish to them and the lip is always catching something.
With my super sweet covers (that I would replace in a heartbeat) I have the LubeLockers, another great investment that I'm actually not being sarcastic about. It took a whole to clean up the RTV from the factory but now it's nothing to pop the cover off and take a looksie at the gears and put it all back together.
I'm not sure if it is still a problem, but there used to be a problem with track bars hitting diff covers.
