Default how do i find what size dana i have.

I am going to pull the trigger and buy my 5.13 gears, but first I need to know what size dana I have. my jeep is a 2007 jeep unlimited. I went under the jeep today and found on the front dana 4631-2, the rear dana I found 42960-1, but no size.

Second question what else would I need to re-gear my jeep other then my pin and axle ring. I would like to buy lockers but I don't have the money, so lockers are out of the question.

Last question: are front 5.13 going to be different then rear 5.13?

Thanks guys

45??

uhm. no. its a D44.

SOME early '07 models came with a D35 rear axle, so be careful with generalizations. You need to actually look to be sure.

Rubi's have D44's front & rear.
Sport/X/Saharas have a D30 front, and likely a D44 rear but LOOK first. There is a slight possibility it is a D35 on the rear.

My '07 2dr Sahara is a D30 front, D35 rear.

ayup, the blessed D35.

there wheren't many, but they do exist. So just look first to avoid any complications.

I had NO clue when i bought mine it was even a posibility. I bought Diff covers very shortly after buying the Jeep, i was dead certain it was a D44, until I actually crawled under there and went

I want Dynatracs. ~maybe someday.

Yeah same here with the dynatracs. Lotta money though. I bought my 07 with around 20K on it and the first thing I did was go on chrysler dealer connect to find my actual axle sizes, gearing, etc. Luckily I do have the 44 rear...but I'm still hanging in there with the 3.21's

I have an 07 and I could swear it's a 44, but how could I be sure? I'd like to check so I don't do something stupid.
