Question More Power to the Spark Plugs?

I am going to be installing a set of E3 spark plugs in my JK and had a question. How do I get more power to the spark plugs? I am trying to help with the fuel efficiency as much as I can. I know it’s an endless up-hill battle with the beloved yet thirsty jeep. How ever I do enjoy a challenge.
1. is better spark plug wires (any suggestions or experience on this step)
2. Ignition up grade (any suggestions or experience on this step)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Wires, regardless of type, would make such a miniscule, if any, difference it wouldnt be worth it unless you have higher mileage, then mabe. (By high mileage I'm thinking over 100K) I've used MSD ignition systems on vehicles in the past, but with the CANBUS system in the JK good luck.

Bottom line, no.

I don't think the canbus has anything to do with the spark plug wires.

Quite a few forum members have reported rough idling with E3 spark plugs. Going back to OEM is what fixed it.

(I see Tuto beat me to it.)

I'm sure it does in one way or another. I've tinkered around with quite a bit of electical accessories in my jeep and from what I've learned it just plain doesent like it. Even if the actual CANBUS system is completely seperate from any ignition components, I would still never run a stand alone ignition system in a JK...but thats just me.

I run E3 plugs and noticed better mileage, I then added GRANATELLI plug wires and did not notice any difference, but was such a PIA to install I just left them on.

I was referring to just the spark plug wires.

Rereading your post, I see you may have been referring to more than that.

Check out Performance Distributors, Screamin Demon coil and Live Wires - can use and they recommend Autolite Platinum Spark Plugs with wider gap.
i have it installed and noticed a power difference with SuperChips tune along with better mileage. i haven't regeard yet so i've been running 91 tune with my auto.
2010 auto - 315/75/17 = 34.4 tires, from Texas to Utah still averaged 18 MPG - I thought I would be lucky to get 14. Did run with OD locked out on climbs, but around town etc... it seemed to downshift less. When I had 87 tune it still felt like more power, but also seemed to shift down more. Once I get regeared (next week) i'll go back to 87 tune and see how it does.
