Default Rancho Rear Bumper - thoughts?

Looking to replace my POS Body Armor rear bumper with this highly affordable and functional Rancho one...

Anyone running this and how do you like it?

Do a search, bud. I just replied to a thread on these today. I'd find it for you real quick but I'm using the phone app.

I think it looks like a great value. Sure it's not all that complicated of a bumper but bumper and tire swing for 500! I think the front and rear combos would look sick with some flat fenders surprised the rancho show jeep doesn't have them.

Yeah I was worring about that too. The latching system looks like a pin?? Seems like it would rattle like crazy. I prefer a cinching latch. It also lacks any tow points, which should be OK with a shackle hitch.

On my PC now...here's the thread:

I think I heard some of the early ones rattled. Mine doesn't. It's very snug w/ the bushings on both the hinge and pin side. And, yes, I use the hitch for recovery.

During the last JK Experience I always seemed to be wheeling in front of or behind the Rancho/Dynomax rig and I think he had this rear bumper set up with matching front bumper too. I can't vouch for any rattles since I just was not close enough or riding inside his rig, but the carrier was holding up a heavy ass 37" BFG Krawler KX competition tire over some pretty serious terrain without issues, and that JK sees a lot of very hard wheeling. In fact in about two weeks I will see that rig again on the next JK Experience, so I know that the Rancho equipment gets tested alongside some serious purpose built crawling rigs.

The last two posts probably swayed me enough to get one. I really loathe my Body Armor high clearance bumper. Their front bumpers are awesome. The rear ones suck a$$ (no pun intended). Now can someone loan me $500? LOL

Thanks man. I found some myself. A lot of "Wow it's so cheap I'm gonna order it", very little "this is how it did on the trails" threads when I searched. But your response and GCM 2's did the trick. I'm sold on them.

When I was bombing down the trail in the Cinders (a lot of whoop de whoops), I could hear it rattle once in a while, but then I realized I was going fast, probably too fast. It has been on the JK for a number of years as well.
Plus you can mount you HI Lift on it, no up charge.

Thanks G! I am not afraid (nor is Ryan) to scratch this stuff, only way the engineers can improve it. See you in a handful of days.
