Question New CURRECTLYNC® JK WRANGLER HEAVY DUTY STEERING SYSTEM Issues

Hey all

So not long ago I bought and installed the CURRECTLYNC® JK WRANGLER HEAVY DUTY STEERING SYSTEM. It was an easy install and the thing is beefy as hell. However, 3 days after the install I noticed the boot that is attached to the drag link has, essentially, blown up. (see the pic attached).

I also noticed that the whole drag link was leaning over onto that area of the boot. Obviously it is made to lean this way but I would surmise that is part of the reason the boot exploded.

What do you all think?

I should also mention i do not currently have a steering stabilizer on.

The bots on that kit are absolutley horrible. Give them a call and they should send you some new ones asap. Ive personally replaced the boots on that system twice on rinkishjk's jeep who is a member on here. The steering setup is great and beefy but the dust boots arent worth the plastic they are made out of. ohhhh and put on a s.s. too no reason no to have one

they have pulled this product till it gets fixed from what i understand. it is not the boots it is that the joints are flexing to much and they pinch the boot then tear and come off. they are waiting on replacement joints that move less and are also making the track bar bigger so it does not break at the threaded portion anymore. they emailed me and said sept before the new parts are out. i really hope they take care of all there customers that have this drag link or tie rod. this is the first product i have ever ben disaponted in from currie. i am sure they will make it good for all of us with this problem.

X2. I've got Currie steering on both of our TJs and it's great but the stuff on my JK sucks. No powder coat, breaking, those @#$$ing dust boots, etc. Not impressed.

OK.......update. Got the new urethane boots and installed them last wed. Headed to the Bethel Jamboree this past weekend and once again all the boots are gone. Calling David at Currie this pm to see if the have a real fix coming down the line. Love our TJ steering but not so impressed here.

I have the urethane boots not and have em installed.

They do seem to be a bit better but there is STILL alot of obvious pressure on them from the drag link.

It will be interesting to see what they come up with as a fix and i hope that it is free to previous buyers.

I never would have expected this out of Currie. I am really shocked here. I was seriously looking at this setup but I am concerned now.

they have built a new tie rod and will be replacing the old ones with these. please contact currie directly to get your new tie rod and bushings that now work if you have the old design. i have ben in contact with John the owner of currie and have tested out the new setup and it is of currie quality now. this is def the best setup on the market and currie made good on there product. everyone has a problem with products from time to time as a company, it is how they handel it on which they should be judged. +1 currie

Hopefully we can get the new one 1st then ship the old one to them so our Jeeps aren't immobile while we wait.
