Default Best 2.5 - 3" Lift for future bumpers and 35's

I know this has been asked before, and I'm sure many options are out there. To me, many are overwhelming when you consider how some kits can be $750 and some can be almost $3,000 for the same height. I realize a BB is a few pucks and brackets, and some are complete springs, shocks and all kinds of brackets, bars, etc.

Here's what I'm looking for. I have an 08 Rubicon Automatic. I want to do a 2.5 - 3" lift to easily run 35's (to *hopefully* eliminate the need for the replacement drive shafts). I won't do any hardcore wheeling where I'm going to be pushing the suspension to its limits. I do however anticipate that I will eventually put an aftermarket front and rear bumper on, probably LOD with a rear tire carrier. So I'd like to plan ahead slightly so that I'm not putting a 2.5" budget boost which I'd need to replace when I want to put on bumpers, etc.

Ideally I'd stay under $1500, or be close to that. I may try to install on my own with a buddy's help, but I may end up going to a local shop if I can get good suggestions and a decent price.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Again, keep in mind I have the Rubicon so that may come into play with sway bars, etc.

Check out the OME HD lift. I had the Tera flex 2.5" coil lift and liked it but lost height once I put bumpers on. With the HD springs I gained back the height I lost and the ride is great.

We'd like to throw our 2.5" Max. Travel System into the ring. Given you budget, combining it with the 5100's and you will have a great setup!

Here is a link to it! Let us know if you have any questions.

You will not Eliminate the need for Driveshafts. Yes they can last awhile, but eventually you will need to upgrade. Buying a 2.5" lift doesnt mean you dont need to replace shafts.

Northridge has a great deals on driveshafts as well. This kit can be easily installed by you and a buddy. As a matter of fact. I would suggest installing it yourself. Its a great way to learn about your jeep.

I have the RK 2.5" max travel with 5100s in my 2010 JKU and could not be happier! I did however get enough articulation that I needed a new front shaft since it rubbed on my auto tranny. But if you don't flex it out that will not be an issue.
