Any way to layer steel under sahara side steps?
I want some protection but at the same time I love the way the Sahara steps look (probably the only one on here that likes them) and hate to get rid of them.
Any way to add some armor under them?

If you can fab you can do it. Should not be that hard. Add a couple of members over to the body mounts for some extra strength too. Make some out of 3/16"x5" bar and tip the front up like a snow ski so it doesn't catch on stuff, that is where you really do damage to them.
I can but I don't have any tools or place to do it. I worked in a factory when I was in HS and learned how to weld, bend and all that…..just don’t have access to that kid of stuff.
