Default Springs or coilovers?

Have 4" Teraflex and wandering if the EVO coilovers for the front would be an upgrade or just a waste of money? Why are your guys thoughts?

definitely an upgrade. you will get a much better ride up front (especially driving fast and hard across fire roads) and you'd get outstanding flex to boot.

Do you think I would need limiting straps? I wheel lightly about once a month, but plan on going harder and more often. Thanks for your input.

depends if you're planning to run 12" or 14" coilovers and whether or not you have a 6-speed or auto. if you go 12's, you'll probably be fine. if you go 14's, you'll most likely need them.

Or upgrade to ELKA shocks and TeraFlex SpeedBumps. You only have to make 2 cuts for SpeedBumps and no welding involved. Big difference over standard TeraFlex shocks and bumpstops.

your front driveshaft will make contact with the exhaust crossover. granted, on an auto, it will make contact with the tranny skid as well but, you can take that off and i would recommend doing so. better to run something like a rk hd tranny pan instead.

The EVO Coilover kits improve ride quality both on and off road. Certainly would be an upgrade. I would say a significant one.

JK with manual transmission and 14" coilover require either limit straps or rerouting of the exhaust crossover due to the output of the front driveshaft at the transfercase of manuals being about 3" further to the rear of the JK.

I'd go with the 12" shocks. I have an auto and have a coast driveshaft (believe I saw something about needing an aftermarket DS to prevent rubbing?) OHHH!!!! and would my swaybar disconnects work with the coilover kit? Or do I would be better buy the recommended ones that comes as an extra option? That sway area looks crammed in the photo :-/
