Rough Country 2.5" Suspension / 1.25" Body
I've decided that I am not really interested in rock crawling. I just want to play on some fire trails, so I've been looking at lift kits once again, and found this:

It's a 2.5 in lift and 1.25 body lift. I want to run 33's on 16in wheels. I want to make sure this kit isn't a POS, and if anyone has one, would you be able to provide a photo of your Jeep with said lift, and any information is appreciated.
Thanks!

Not a bad plan at all. Thats what i have been doing. I have an Old man Emu with Heavy Duty springs and I absolutely love it. I highly recommend this kit. I however do not particularly care for body lifts. I dont here anything horrible about rough country. When it comes to jeep stuff though I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for.

Also, I see you're in Anchorage. I was stationed at Elmendorf from 03-06.
The less you have to do to your suspension to fit your tires the better off you will be. Its a cheap kit and if it fits in your plans do it. People with the x model upgrade to the 4" and say the ride is as good as stock.
BTW a stock x rides like crap.
If you throw this kit on with 33's you will be wanting 35's because the wheels will look too small.

I put on a RC 2.5" lift. It made the ride not as harsh over bumps. I added 34" or so buckshot mudders. I have been very pleased with RC. Did need spacers to keep tires from rubbing. (3 pics)

That is the lift I started with. I got the HD coils cause i knew i was going to add winch/bumpers. I run 35's with plenty of clearance. I love anchorage. I am in the process of crossing over to the air guard. Northridge has a sweet OME kit for a little more $ but you get a lot more.
