Default smittybilt xrc fender flares

Looking at getting a set of these but it doesn't say how to cut the liners just that they can be cut and reused has anyone done this what are their thoughts. How do the liners get held back up in and how do they deal with wind on the road???

I like mine, but I completely removed the liners. It was just way too much work to keep them in there.

But if you wanted to do it, you need to be dead spot on with your liner trimming/cutting, because the lip on the Smitty's that hold them in, is really small.

I left the front ones on and removed the rear. Drilled a hole in body panel and in the panel, used an L bracket hold one part with a bolt and used the christmas trees to connect it to the body. Mine looks bad because it hasnt been painted black and has paint for anti rust paint. Enough that it is solid......i dont have the flares these are chopped fenders so not sure what peices are kept on yours as far as the support plastic under the flares

I re-used my liners both front and back. Not difficult at all. I put some big washers in the existing holes to keep them on. Cut them down with box cutter. Overall was very easy.Click image for larger version

Hey Sin City,
How well do they fit the contour where the oem flares were? Looks like on the rear not so good???? I have a set I got when I ordered my front and rear bumpers just haven't installed yet.

I think they fit the contour well. I think you just see more of the inside and top of the wheel well, because the fender is so much thinner than factory, which looks different, but I love it. Less if more for me.
