Default Tire size decision 2012 Rubicon Unlimited with TF 2.5 coil lift with bilstein 5100

So i just got my 2012 Rubicon and installed my lift. I have black rock 909D wheels in 17x8 with 4.5" of backspacing, i need to order tires but i'm torn between 295 70 17 and 285 75 17. I'm pretty certain i'm gonna get nitto trail grapplers. This is my daily driver with occasional wheeling on weekends maybe once every 1 -2 months. I def don't want ANY rubbing when i'm wheeling and i don't want the tires to stick out too far past the fenders. And since it is daily driven i don't want it to be a dog driving uphill, i do have the stock 4.10 gears. so do i go 295 70 17 for a true 33" or 285 75 17 for a close to 34"(33.8). The 285's won't go out past the fenders as much as the 295 but the 295 is a better overall diameter. i don't plan on regearing. So which way do i go anyone with first hand experience? which is gonna look better, right now i'm leaning towards the 295

Anything under 300 is good so I would go with the 295. It's as big/aggressive as u can get for a daily driver without comprimising to much.

I went with the 33's on mine and could'nt be happier with it. They are slightly bigger than the stock tires, but the speedo is right on with my GPS, and my MPG did not change at all. Mine is my daily driver too...

I just went through the same decision for my 2012 Rubi. I ran 35s on my last Jeep and wanted to stay a little smaller to improve my highway manners. I went with the BFG KM2 285/75R17 to get a little taller than the 33s but maintain a narrower tire. Waiting to install later this week, I will let you know how they ride. Wi a 4 door the 33s look a little small to me. The 34s should be perfect.

Do the 295's. They don't rub on my 4.25 backspacing. And they stick about a half inch on the sides.

The new 2012 Rubicon's have so much power that you'll want the taller tire to go with those 4.10 gears. I know from personal experience, and you will love the Nitto Trail Grapplers. My 33" I first used on my Rubicon were just too short 1) for looks, 2) for DD with those gears.
