Default bestop trail cover vs smittybilt cab cover - one in the same?

Today 4wd Hardware tried to sell me the Smittybilt weather resistant cab cover in place of the Bestop all weather trail cover. They said it was the exact same cover except for the color being a little different. I told him that I believe the fabric is different between the two. He promised me that the material is the same. I have always used and trusted 4wd but was extremely skeptical and decided to hold off on the purchase until I could get some second opinions from you guys/gals.

Until today I've understood that the Smittybilt is water resistant and thinner while the Bestop is water proof and thicker.
Am I wrong? Any of you have some experience with the Smittybilt?

I was looking at this myself and was curious if it will work with the doors ON also?

The picture makes it seem like it only works with the doors OFF.

Definitely go with the Bestop. You can use with the doors on or off.

Not familiar with the Smittybilt, but the Bestop is very heavy fabric--approaching the weight to your softtop fabric. It works fine in various configurations of doors, tops (even the hardtop with doors off), Duster, etc, if you get creative with how you tuck fold and install ...
