35" tires / stock suspension - quick question
I'm waiting for my lift and spacers to run my 35" tires. However I have a guy who wants to buy my used BFG's, can I throw on my 35's if all I do is run around town or will I rub really bad with the slightest turn?
Thanks.
Thanks.
From what I understand, as long as you have wheel spacers or properly backspaced wheels (4.5" or less) then you should be fine around town. Maybe at full turn you might rub.
Hopefully someone with actual experience will chime in.

Spacers (maybe) and a couple of washers in the steering stops should make it work for you. Also a trim on the front airdam. I ran with the tires in my signature for about 3000 miles on stock suspension
35x12.5x17 GY Duratrac...not sure on actual mounted size. Going on my stock rims. I don't have the spacers yet, its coming with the lift which I hope will be shipped today or tomorrow.
All I have is a stock jeep and 35's sitting in the garage...lol.

This is good news to hear. I am ordering a 2012 JKU and had several people tell me I need a 2.5" lift at minimum to get the 315/70R17 Duratrac's to fit. If they do fit without a lift I can wait until the spring to lift it.

My rims have a 5" BS so they're like running 1.25" spacers and I have zero problems. I did install the BW flat fenders and I'm ready for the trails. You should be fine after you address your backspacing. PM me if you want pictures of stages I went thru. You will need to some metal work (trim with sawzall) on the rear to ensure you don't cut your tires on the body modling. I also have the stubby front fenders so I can't tell you if my setup would have touched the front bumper or not.
