Default HELP! New Hemi tranny (545RFE) stuck in 2nd gear.

I just installed a 5.7 vvt out of a 2011 Dodge 1500 with the 545RFE auto in to my JK. I converted from a manual. The engine has 3 miles on it and the trans has 7. The computer came from Dave @ B&G Performance and I know he knows his programming. I am a fairly decent hobby mechanic and the install went smoothly in my garage (fired up on first try, no leaks, one code). The TIPM is brand new, so I know that is not the issue.

My problem is this. The trans will only drive in 2nd gear. No matter where I have the shifter (D, 2, 1) it will start out and stay in 2nd gear. Reverse works and I can feel the power of the Hemi, but starting off in 2nd sucks. The lights on the dash match the position of the shifter. The trans is full of ATF +4 and it is not in limp mode because limp mode gives you 2nd and 3rd gear and allows 1st when manually shifting.

My code is P0760 Trans OD Solenoid Circuit. I did install the trans wire in cavity #25 of the C100 and cavity #26 of the C2 (along with the backup light re-assignment) which are both required when converting from a manual. All fuses have power, all pins are connected in the larger plugs.

I am not a trans guy and the kit builder has never encountered this particular problem. He is working dilligently to find a solution.

I am hoping someone has had a similar problem and can say, "yup it's this". There may even be a reward if someone can be quite certain rather than quessing.

On the bright side, this engine sounds awesome (Flowmaster 50 HD) and runs smoothly.

Has no one experienced this problem? Any of the tech guys ever see it?

I had a similar issue a couple of years ago but, unfortunately, I can't remember exactly what the trans was doing. My problem turned out to be a wire rubbing through and grounding on the body.

Alright,

Here's what I've learned. The 2011 545RFE has a different valve body (or solenoid) than the 2009-2010 545RFE. This is a little known fact. Since my computer is programmed for a 2009 engine and trans (all 2009, 2010, and 2011 truck Hemi's and trans were thought to be the same), my trans is stuck in limp mode (2nd gear).

I am trying to find out if reprogramming the computer will fix the issue, or I may have to replace the valve body or solenoid with a 2009 part.

Thanks for the follow up. Your pain may help save someone else some day.
