Running Ligths on hardtop like H2s?
Just wondering if anyone has done this. I know most of you hate Hummers, but those running lights on top of them look good IMO

the reason they have to do it is about the frame and size of the vehicle. trucks have to do it cause of their size.
H2s have to do it because they are wide.
they do it by law. not cause they want to.
and to each his own, but i, and a number of others, like this look. id do it on my wrangler if i could find the right lights.
small LEDs.

The raptor had to had them because of its extra width. If I were going to put them on my wrangler I would do them like the raptor and put amber leds in the uprights of the grill.

The lights are not just for looks, they had to be added due to the wider stance of the raptor. The same reason pickups with dual rear wheels having to have them. Those lights are and option for the 3/4 ton guys but are required on the 1 ton guys. I don't remember the exact spec for width for having to have them, I guess if you have to have that number do a search on the web and you can find it.
Reguardless of what the lights are for. This is certainly a doable mod. Just mount the lights anywhere you want. Bring the wiring thru the top. Secure the wiring underneath in a presentable manner. Use quick connects when transfering from the top to the body of the jeep. An ideal transfer location would be at the sound bar. The rest is just conventional.
