Default Painting steel bumper?

I have a psc brawler lite bumper on it's way to me and surprisingly having a hard time finding a powder coater. Thinking of just rattle canning it. Any recommendations on prep, prime and paint? I want to match the Chrysler paint code and the only place I can find that does that in a can is automotive touchup. A little concerned about the durability. Anyone have any experience with them?

Thanks.

I own an industrial coating company and I do stuff like this everyday. The most important part of painting/coating anything is the PREP. Without proper prep, the best coatings in the world will not stick. Secondly, the base coat is also extremely important. An individual can top-coat any item with $400 per gallon paint, but if the primer coat is crap, it will all come off. If it were me, I would find a place to media blast and epoxy primer the bumper. Then, you can paint it flat black, gloss black, bedliner, etc and be able to touch it up yourself. If you can't find a place to media blast the bumper, get a grinder and wire wheel abrade it!

Thanks for info. Even if it comes bare metal, you would media blast it?

Yes, being bare metal is will probably have some combination of rust bloom, white rust, and other surface contaminants that will prevent proper paint adhesion.
