Powder coating looks great, but it's super expensive to get done and to touch-up in the future. I'd be more inclined to do my own paint-job on it. It'll be cheaper, you can do your own touch-ups, and you're likely to be much more proud of it.

Bed lining is a great option... it's tough as nails and really easy to touch-up, however if you don't like it, you're pretty much stuck with it.

I've heard great things about Hammerite paint. Supposed to be pretty durable and somewhat textured. Might want to check that out. I think you can pick it up at Home Depot/Lowe's for about $7/can.

Either way, good luck!

Great. Thanks. Appreciate the input. What do you think is there a need to prime before painting or using a bedliner product?

wipe down with brake cleaner and don't touch it again with bare hands use rubber gloves. spray some coats of self etching primer on it and go from there.

I used the Dupli-color rattle can bedliner on my ARB bumpers and it matches the texture of the fenders perfectly! I have hit a few trees on the trails and this stuff is tough! That would definitely be my recommendation. Don't use the Rust-o-leum brand. Poor adhesion.

I would say bed liner. Use duplicolor rattle can or buy the spray gun.

No real need to prime before bed-lining... just make sure you sand it down first. A scotchbrite drill attachment does wonders. If you decide to paint, I'd use a self-etching primer paint. Put the first coat down heavy then a few light coats and let it dry for at least 24 hours.

Nevertheless, bedlining is definitely the most durable option.

Post some pics when you're done!

I had the opposite problem. Dupli wouldn't stick for shit. I tried it unprimed and primed. Wouldn't even stick after it dried all night. I could wipe it off with my hand. Rustoleum stuck well with no primer.
