Default Clayton Off Road - JK prototype 1/4 Skid plate.

Prototype skid plate will be installed in a few days. I will get some more pictures soon. Here is a Solid Works 3D drawing.

Skid will be 1/4 thick, bolt into oem bolt hoel locations, tie into the gas tank skid, and brace the 3 piece cross member.

Once we finalize this skid, we will make the front oil pan, trans skid plate. And then the gas tank skid.

Let us know what you think?

Would be able install this if you have a 3.5 inch and the factory front drive shaft?

Yup, we are picky so things never go as fast as we would like. :-)

Here are a few pics of version 1.

The final version will have counter sunk allen head bolts. Have to move a few holes around and made a change here and there.

So version 2 of hte skid plate should be getting laser cut in a few days, and Clayton is working on the oil pan/ trans skid plate. Same deal, 1/4 thick, access panel for the oil, will attach to the bottom of the frame/motor mount area.

Gorgeous! Cant wait to see it on your rig!

Quick question...how does the oil pan/tranny skid connect in the front? Don't see a location for it...

Prototype skids are in. Main skid is basically all set. Engine skid will need a little adjustment and then making the front mounts.

More pictures and information coming soon.

We will make some sort of mount which attaches to the frame and or engine frame mounts. Something similar to what our TJ skid plate system looks like.

always my number one concern with oil skids, I see the cutout for a wrench, but it still looks like a small enough opening that oil will splash anywhere? I know different skids are for different markets, will this one be a good fit for someone like me who wants kickass armor but always wants to still easily change the oil?

either way, looks badass
