bushwacker flat fenders... not as easy an install as i thought.
i gotta say i am impressed with the product. very nice, fit and finish is top notch. but my god, it took me about 4 hours to get ONE front fender installed.
i did have several interruptions, but this is a very tedious, time consuming install. i think im also going to have to replace the fender lining in the one fender i was able to finish up. i can tell from the previous owner that the lining was torn up a bit at some point and i had trimmed too much of it with my dremmel for the install. oh well, live and learn!
i think if i hit the other front fender tomorrow morning i can get it done in around 3 hr now since i know what im doing.
does anyone know if the rears are easier? please god please...

Totally Agree!!! The fronts suck!!! The rears are a whole lot easier, so you have that to look forward to. One thing I did to speed things up is put spray in bedliner in the rears and then you dont have to worry about the pointless plastic part. It looks a whole lot better too. Just so it would match, i sprayed the front liners as well. The fronts are def harder but you should go slow anyway so it looks good in the end
I did the fronts on my last Jeep and ended up trading it off before I got to the rear. I do not plan on doing it on my new one. They do look good but IMO for all you have to do there are better alternatives out there. One thing I recommend you do it scrap the nuts and bolts that come with the kit and go to to a hardware store for some quality replacements. Well never mind that thought since you have already done one side you will never be able to get the nuts off without at least breaking several bolts and possibly damaging the ultra thin JK fenders. Good luck with your install!
I had a rough time putting them on also. The trouble I had , being I just got the Jeep back from the body shop was each of the front fenders were not even close to being the same in any way shape or form. I took 6 hours for the front and 5 hours for the back. Left the liners out on the back two. Came out okay and they stayed on after the wife took it through the car wash right after the install. Take your time and it will all work out.

Maybe its just me...but I didn't think they were THAT hard?? Probably took about 6 hours for all 4...and it was more time consuming than "difficult" in my opinion. Also followed the install thread on project JK.

Just installed mine last weekend, took me 4 hours for the first one & an hour or so each for the other 3. They are sooooo worth it tho
