Default How high can lift

Ok, I have a 2010 and i want to put a 3inch lift. If I do that would I need to replace my driveshaft and the angle? Can I keep it stock? Would I be doing harm on the diffs, drivetrain, tranny etc?

Jk 2dr Here, I have put 12,000 miles on my 4" of lift since I installed it and there have been no problems. I also drive very conservatively with a light foot on the trails though.

The major "problem" is disconnect or not.
Conected, less problem...
3+ lift disco, looking for trouble... Or new DS.

4inch that leveled out at a little over 3inches. 4 door six speed unlimited zero issues.

I have a 3" lift, which came out to about 3.5 or 4. I tore my front driveshaft tcase flange boot first trip disconnected. It is really all random.

If I didn't wheel, or did it still connected, it prolly wouldn't have torn. Then again, wouldn't have made it down the trail either.

being that you have a 4 door, you will not need to change out the rear drive shaft. if you have an auto, i would highly recommend that you change out the front shaft as it will come into contact with your tranny sump pan, tear off the boot and start damaging the seal between the pan and the tranny over time. if you have a 6-speed, you do not have to change out anything. regarding everything else, the question you really need to be asking is how big of a tire you hope to run as you might want to regear. aside from that, you will be fine.

They did trim the skid a little and have there pinion angles set. Been about a year with no problems.

I run 4 inch lift and did the same trimming on my skid. Mine only comes close to it on a vehicle lift at full droop.
Trimming the skid plate is a great idea

you'll forgive me but most every long arm kit i've seen requires the removal of the auto tranny skid. but, assuming they still have one, either these guys are not flexing out on the trail or have shocks that are too short. ANY lift greater than 2.5" and with shocks that allow for the amount of droop it should provide WILL cause the drive shaft to NOT ONLY make contact with the auto tranny skid BUT ALSO, swipe over and make contact with the lip of your tranny sump pan. this is a fact and not just an opinion.

actually, it won't do a whole lot of anything to prevent your front drive shaft boot from getting torn as the real culprit is the lip of the tranny sump pan. you can remove the skid completely and you will still tear off your boot and start to damage your tranny pan.
