Default Tire Question 305 70r17 MAXXIS BIGHORN?

Anyone running these tires I'm bout to put on a 2.5" lift and heard that these are a good in between for someone on the fence about 33's or 35's. I daily drive my Jeep and drive about 3000 miles a month. I understand i didn't buy a jeep for its mpg but my ? was is anyone running these? How noisy are they and any other pros or cons you think they may have

I've got them. Pros: Work pretty well off road in a variety of conditions. Much tougher sidewall than the BFGs they replaced. Wear like iron. Mine have 30,000 on them and have better than half the tread left. Price. Cons: a little noisy. Don't balance worth a shit.

Can't comment on that size, but my 315/75/16's measure out right at 33.5". I'd say skip the 34 and get the 35, you'll be happier.

They have a noticeable hum at speed, but not loud or obnoxious. Good on-road manners, good trail performance, decent on snow/ice for an aggressive tire. One semi-negative is that the sipes are very shallow, so it that is important to you, you will want to get it done again. Haven't checked prices lately, but when I got mine 2 years ago, I paid $100 less per tire than km2's or mtr/k's. All in all, great tire for the price.

I used to have 285/75R16s on my Jeep TJ Rubicon, ran them for 3 years and when I traded in my jeep there was over 50% tread left still.

I just put 315/75/16s on my JKU Rubicon. for the price and quality they are hard to beat.

I've had that size on for a few years now. I like the alright, I run them at 30psi. The sipping is worn, as mentioned, but that hasn't bothered me yet. They seem to be noisy after each rotation and then quiet down a little more. I got mine for 215ea mounted and balanced, and haven't had any balancing problems.
