Banks Intake - wont accelerate past 80
Mentioned this before, but now I seriously want help. I have installed and removed my Banks intake twice for the same reason. 90% of the time its awesome, good acceleration off the line, good midrange power etc. But on the interstate, it hits 80 mph and thats it. Rpms are at about 2k to 3k and you can literally floor it and it barely increases. Without the intake, no issues.

Have you inspected and cleaned the filter. Because it sounds like the Banks filter is dirty or clogged and the engine is starved for air at higher rpm.
A friend of mine took his Ram into the dealer with the same complaint. He too has a Banks systems and was perplexed as to why his truck would act in such a manner and just at highway speeds. After a quick diagnosis, and payment of a $100 invoice, the dealer sent him home and told him to remove and clean his aftermarket filter. He did so and the truck ran better than stock. It was an expensive lesson, but an easy fix.
