axle sleeves

Default axle sleeves

From everything I hav heard if you wheel with 35 inch tires that its a good idea to sleeve and gusset front axle now with that being said is it necessary to sleeve rear axle ? Any and all comments welcome

I think you sleeve and gusset the front bc the majority of jeeps have a d30 compared to the d44 outback. Im pretty sure you don't have to, but if your doing the front might as well do the rear.

Actually, the housing of the Rubi 44 is just as weak as the D30. Personally, I've only gusseted the C's but I don't have super heavy wheels/tires and I'm a pretty careful wheeler.

with that being said is it necessary to sleeve rear axle ?
Take care of the front first. For the rear axle, I see more posts about bent shafts than bent housings, so the money 'may' be better spent there than on housing upgrades?

Yep, same length, tube diameter, tube thickness and C's. The only real difference is the larger center section on the rubi to fit the 44 gears. The rubi axle obviously has better internals, (with the exception of the outer shafts, which are the same 32sp as the d30), but many consider strength upgrades to be "cheap insurance" for both housings.

Kool will stick with front first. Evo or any other company's that u would suggest ?

I'm running EVO's Magnum 44 sleeves and C2 guessets (upper and lower). It's nice.
